Not the result we wanted, but it was so great to catch up with a few familiar faces and shoot a bit of intensive sport, I was testing a 500mm F4 I recently acquired and the 100-400mm from Nikon. its safe to say super impressed with them both in the field. Read MoreHeading down to Bournemouth Beach with my New 500mm Nikon Super Telephoto lens was such a buzz. With no commercial pressures weighing me down, I had the freedom to just focus on capturing the surfers doing their thing.
Watching them ride those waves was mesmerizing, and with the new lens, I could really zoom in and get those close-up shots that show off their skills.
I decided to go for black and white photos because it just felt right for the vibe. The contrast between the ocean spray and the sky looked killer in monochrome, adding a cool dramatic touch to the shots.
It wasn't just about snapping pics of surfers; it was about capturing the essence of Bournemouth Beach in a timeless way that speaks to the soul.
